Websites, Facebook, Twitter & Tweets
12th & 13th March 2012, Village Hotel Leeds South
Just when you thought you had a website up and running, along comes a whole new world of social networking. Like it or not, the world is online, and that includes your clients. We are running these two days back to back; the first for social networking virgins, the second for those who’ve been doing it for a while. Or you can opt to come to both if you think you’d like a refresher on the basics before you tackle the more advanced applications.
Day One - Monday 12th March 2012
For those who have not yet ventured into social media or internet marketing including those who use social media personally, but not yet for business.
Alison Lambert, Director, Onswitch will cover website basics with examples of ones that work and ones that don’t. Susie Samuel, Director, Vet Help Direct will show you how to 'harness Google' so that your practice appears high up in the search engine results. She’ll then run practical sessions on Facebook and Twitter. You will leave with social media demystified and with Facebook pages for your practice up and running.
What you will cover:
- The essentials of an effective website
- How other vet practices are using e-marketing
- Free online tools, website add-ons, geo-location services etc.
- How to create your own practice Facebook page (will do it there and then)
- Whether Twitter could be relevant and useful to your business and what resource in terms of time and expertise is required
- The rewards (and the risks) of exposing your reputation via social networking
Day 2 - Tuesday 13th March 2012
For those who are already running a facebook page for their business and want to take their skills to the next level. You will look at social media in more detail, with lots of case studies from vet practices as well as outside the profession. There will be the opportunity to network with other advanced users on the course and exchange experience and best practice.
