A Personal note... At this season of joy and celebration, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has helped make this place a genuine source of healing for so many hurting hearts. I thank all of you in this nebulous, yet very real, thing called cyberspace who take the time to open your hearts to others who have also lost a beloved pet. A special thanks to the volunteer Message Board Moderators and the volunteers known as the "Wolf Pack" who provide so much support in the Chat Room.
And to the many who find the holiday season full of painful reminders, I send prayers for your healing and make this promise: When the time is right, those memories will bring you smiles, not tears.

A Christmas Story - by Marion Hale A very special story of Christmas at the Rainbow Bridge.

On Monday evenings all across the globe we light candles in memory of our
pets. It is a very healing ritual with no adherence to any religion or
creed, just a simple lighting of candles to bring us all together.
While there is an on-line Ceremony in our Chat Room every Monday, the Candle Ceremony does not have to be done on-line. Each of us can light our candles
in our own way, and privately, but since we share a common love and since
most of us do light them at the same time, we are joined in love and in
spirit.

the pain. Join them for support, a shoulder to lean on, a gentle hug, even
share some tears.
